
Antiphonal brass choirs, under the direction of Jill Wagner,
performed at
Church of Our Savior in Fond du Lac for the Symphonic Band's
16th annual Chamber Concert.

The Budvar Quintet from the Czech Republic opened the 16th Buttermilk Festival
season at Buttermilk Creek Park on June 14.

Inge Adelmeyer was featured vocalist at the Band's Midsummers' Eve
concert at Buttermilk Creek Park on June 23.

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra made its thirteenth Buttermilk Festival
appearance on June 29th.

MSO Assistant Conductor Gregory Vajda closed the Symphony's performance
with
popular music by Leroy Anderson and Jerome Kern, followed by an
encore of Stars and Stripes Forever.

On July 3rd a small version of the Symphonic Band performed for campers,
boaters and area residents at Columbia Park, on the shore of Lake Winnebago.

Eunice Frey helped the audience get in the mood with a favorite of Dorf Kapelle
audiences: Hands to Heaven.

The Dorf Kapelle concert was moved to the Expo Center at the Fairgrounds due
to
cold weather. An audience estimated at over 1000 showed
up to enjoy the Dorf's annual crowd-pleasing show.

performed an exchange concert at the BPC on July 21

A wind ensemble from the Symphonic Band performed
at Firemen's Park in Campbellsport on July 22. Featured vocalist was John Oberg,
singing Stardust and the Armed Forces Salute. The performance was co-sponsored
by the Campbellsport Chamber of Commerce, Fond du Lac County and the Wisconsin
Arts Board
