Neil Thompson

Neil Thompson, who has the dual role of sound engineer and equipment manager for the Symphonic Band, is a native of Fond du Lac.  Neil has an Electro/mechanical degree from MPTC along with a degree in Law Enforcement from FVTC and State of Wisconsin. 

Neil's duties with the Symphonic Band include, but are not limited to, operation and maintenance of sound and recording equipment along with sound and lighting production for the bands concerts at Buttermilk Creek Park and "on the road". Neil works very closely with Dr. Ray Wifler, Director of the Fond du Lac Symphonic Band, planning and implementing the technical aspects of the Band's concerts.

In addition to his work with the Symphonic Band, related local activities include, sound and lighting production for performances at Marian College, UW Fond du Lac, Windhover Center for the Arts, Theisen, Woodworth, and Sabish Jr. High Schools annual concert, 4H choir and many other "gigs" to numerous to mention.

Neil has a wife Patti along with two children.
